High School: Grades 9-12

Research shows that a teen's natural sleep cycle makes it difficult to learn early in the morning. We want our students to come to school rested and excited about the day ahead.

This is why HGS required high school classes begin at 10:00 a.m.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

  9:00  a.m.   Language Elective (Optional)

10:00  a.m.   Core classes begin

  3:25  p.m.   Core classes end

3:30-5 p.m.   Clubs (Optional)

Tuesdays

Field Studies/Projects/Study Days--times vary

Fridays

Internships or Community Service--times vary

Middle School: Grades 7 & 8

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

  9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Wednesdays

  Field Studies or Community Service Days--times vary

Fridays

  9:00 am to 2:00 pm
